Shadow
Boxing is a crucial part of boxing in general with the intent of fighting an
imaginary opponent but not getting punched so you can think about what you’re
doing with throwing combinations and just practising on your techniques in
general, to help improve your shadow boxing even further, use a mirror to watch
yourself throw hands and can see how to improve and learn new boxing punches with
yourself being your coach by helping yourself by looking at what you’re doing. Also
shadow boxing is used to warm and stretch the muscles before actual contact so
you don’t tear, pull or just in general hurt your muscles. With shadow boxing
comes speed, every time you shadow box you will increase your boxing IQ and
speed. To increase and heighten your speed add small weights or wear wraps with
gloves to add weight to your hands so after a while of using that method to
speed up your hands when your remove the weight of your hands the speed with be
incredible, lighting fast and that’s what wins you fights or bouts. Speed should
always come before power. A lot of professional boxers have stated this as well
such as; Floyd Mayweather, Tyson Fury and the infamous Mike Tyson.
