PhotoShop Colour Splat

This is my first colour splat. i don't like it but i duplicated the background and make it black then used the polygon lasso tool to cut out the shapes i wanted the deleted the black and white from it :)












i did the same but i actually like this one.

 This was the original photo we took. We wanted to create the impression that a monster was grabbing him.













this photo i added cracks.blood and scars into the photo. i also put a filter onto the background as a black and white filter.

Planning My PhotoShoot

this is a classic horror movie scene because he/she has a mask on to make sure that she doesn't identify who that is. the colour palette is original because the black which connotes that it is dark outside.

What i will wear: Normal clothes

Analysing Horror Posters

This horror poster is scary because; 
If you saw a head popping out of a puddle. you WOULD be scared.
its has the the red which means blood (mostly)
Red, Black and White are the main colours that are used to scare people and the connotations are your brain automatically says 'this is scary.' red reminds you of blood, sinful and evil. Black makes you think of darkness and you can't see anything, night and thunder. white makes you think of a wedding but a scary wedding, cloudy day and not many peopler out.
It is looking at you which makes you feel like your next.
it is just scary
Don't watch it gives you the worst nightmares you will probably die and it will be because of him
DON'T WATCH IT.
The Dark gives it as another level of scary because all you see is the red in his eyes.

Horror Post Conventions

There are 3 main colours in the horror conventions: Black, Red and White.

Sometimes there can be a case of a greeny blue colour.

normally the cover will either be of the victim or the killer.

the setting is always at night or late in the evening.

the writing is probaly written in blood which is normally red.
